 The Mauritius Bankers Association (MBA) was first established in 1967 as an association of commercial banks that were authorised to conduct banking business in Mauritius. Its founding members consisted of the following five banks: Bank of Baroda, Barclays Bank D.C.O. , Habib Bank (Overseas) Limited, The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd and The Mercantile Bank Ltd. Over the years, its membership increased to all banks operating in Mauritius. |
