Barclays Bank PLC

The presence of Barclays in Mauritius dates back to 1919. One of the founding members of the MBA, Barclays was also the first bank to be granted an offshore banking licence in Mauritius in 1989. It took over the operations of BNPI Mauritius in 2002.

The bank operates in the retail, corporate and offshore banking segments as well as in leasing activities. The bank currently operates 20 branches in Mauritius and Rodrigues.
