Besides the Bank of Mauritius, as the lead regulator for banking business, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) is the body responsible for licensing, regulating, monitoring and supervising all non-bank financial activities including the stock exchange, the depository and settlement system, market intermediaries, collective investment schemes, insurance companies and the global business sector. The Financial Services Commission ascertains the development of stable, fair, efficient and transparent and sound non-bank financial institutions in Mauritius. |
